Pension “At a Chateau Park”

All year round accommodation is available in five newly constructed and stylishly furnished apartments, each of which is suitable for two to five guests. The apartments are located in a historic building from the mid 18th century in a picturesque nine hundred-year-old village Žihobce in Šumava. Only seven kilometers from the village there is castle Kašperk and twelve kilometers the town of Sušice. Each apartment with the view of a chateau, church (with regular services), square, and the peaks of Šumava, has a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with a separate WC. All rooms have central heating and all apartments satellite TV. The Pension provides parking in the yard or in a garage, a grill, garden patio, and boat and bike rental.

The building is located just by the baroque chateau from 1688. Its large, freely accessible park in the English style is connected to the pension by a gate directly in front of the pension entrance. It leads into a forested area abounding mushrooms and blueberries (this place has appeared in several TV programs), and it is possible to spot some wildlife.

The village has two grocery stores, several restaurants with the option of cheap and good food, and a sports center with a swimming pool with natural water. In the sports center one can find tennis courts, soccer field and more restaurants. Fans of swimming in nature can visit one of the ponds in the vicinity of the village. During the summer season there are regular music shows on the dance floor in the open air. The village is also a favorite outdoor spot for filmmaking.

Žihobce has the delight to be the first in the following:
it is the smallest village with a stone theatre building;
the area has the highest variety of bats (around twenty types) occupying hundreds-of-years old hollow linen trees in the chateau park.

Accommodation in this area is particularly suitable for lovers of nature, history, and fans of sports, as well as for those looking for a rest and relaxation in a quiet environment (air spa).
